Looking for a therapist who understands the complexities of relationships and day-to-day life?
I believe that meaningful change happens when we focus on both understanding our thoughts and building on what already works. In my private practice, I work with adults (18+) using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and move toward realistic, hopeful goals.
My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in compassion. Together, we explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also identifying existing strengths and small steps that can lead to meaningful progress.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, our work will center on building insight, confidence, and sustainable strategies for change — helping you move from where you are to where you want to be.
I approach therapy with my most authentic self, curiosity, and humor. I am a BIPOC and LGBTQ ally. As the spouse of a military veteran, I value providing support to military veterans and their families.
I adopt a Health at Every Size (HAES) ® approach to help them ditch diet culture, embrace their intuitive eater, and repair their relationship with their body and food so that they can celebrate themselves.
I am passionate about supporting individuals and families pre/post-natal transitions.
With over 20 years of experience in social services and mental health, I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Corrections and Sociology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Narrative therapies.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, finding joyful movement through various activities, and walking my dog, Louie. As a busy mom, I understand the struggle in finding and maintaining work/life balance and navigating competing priorities.
I believe that not every therapist is the best fit for every person. If I’m not the therapist for you, that's okay. I am always happy to help you find someone who is.
